What: Lowrider Picnic, Free Admission to the Museum, Food Trucks, and a musical launch to the Concert of Colors featuring Detroit DJs on stage in the Museum Parking Lot throughout the afternoon.

Who: The event is free and open to the public; advance registration is not required.

Uso Family Car Club Picnic @ Detroit Historical Museum – Concert of Colors Kickoff on July 16th

Join us Saturday, July 16th for a uniquely Detroit kickoff event, in a way that could only happen here and this year. Uso Car Club is partnering with Inside Southwest Detroit to bring lowriders from the neighborhood and around the country for its Midwest Regional Picnic, celebrating Uso Car Club's 30th anniversary worldwide and 15 years in Detroit. Explore the Museum for an exhibit about the history of Fisher Body, used to build many of the cars from the 1940s through the 1980s that eventually became lowriders, and head back outside to enjoy some delicious eats from local food trucks while celebrating our car culture.
